This Privacy Policy explains how Wopi handles information when you observe, customize, archive, purchase, and contact support. It is written for users in California, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and other regions where Wopi may be available.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Wopi mobile application, support communications, and legal pages that link to this Policy. It describes personal information we may process as a controller or business, depending on the law that applies.

Wopi is designed as a local-first iOS app. It does not require login by default and does not intentionally send personal data to our servers by default. Device features, Apple services, and hosting providers may process information under their own policies when you use App Store purchases, device permissions, diagnostics, or this static web page.

3. At a Glance

No account required Wopi does not require you to create an account, provide a username, or log in by default.

Wopi does not intentionally collect precise geolocation, government identifiers, health data, biometric identifiers for identification, financial account numbers, or payment card numbers by default. Photos you choose may contain sensitive personal information visible in the image; by default, those photos are processed locally for the archive feature and are not sold or shared for targeted advertising.

5. California Notice at Collection

This section is provided for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. The categories below describe information we may collect or process depending on how you use Wopi.

We do not sell personal information, do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a California "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" link when used only to provide requested app features.

6. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Operate Wopi's miniature civilization simulation, controls, archive, wallet, and settings.
  • Save and restore local progress, preferences, accessibility settings, and archive resources.
  • Process and fulfill Apple in-app purchases and maintain local virtual coin balances.
  • Respond to support, privacy, legal, accessibility, and security requests.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud, debug technical issues, and improve compatibility.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulator requests, platform rules, accounting obligations, and dispute requirements.

Where consent is required, we rely on your consent, such as when you grant camera or photo access, import a file, send us an email, or choose to share a screenshot. You may withdraw consent by changing device permissions, deleting local content, resetting local data, or contacting us, subject to legal and technical limitations.

7. Disclosure, Third Parties, and International Transfers

Wopi does not intentionally disclose your local app state or local photo archive content to us by default. We may disclose information only in the following limited cases:

  • With Apple and device services when you use App Store purchases, StoreKit, camera, photos, document picker, share sheet, diagnostics, or other operating system features.
  • With service providers that host these legal pages, process support emails, provide security, or help us respond to requests, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • With regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by law, to protect rights, security, users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of Wopi, provided that personal information remains protected under this Policy or a policy with materially similar protections unless notice and consent are required.

If personal information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps required by applicable law to protect it, such as contractual safeguards, purpose limitation, access controls, and vendor review. Apple and other platform providers may process information in countries where they operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Retention and Deletion

Local Wopi data remains on your device until you delete archive items, reset local app data, clear device storage, uninstall Wopi, or use operating system tools that remove it. Support emails and rights request records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, compliance, security, accounting, legal claims, or dispute resolution.

Apple may retain purchase, payment, tax, and App Store records according to Apple's policies and legal obligations. We do not control Apple's retention of information it processes as an independent platform provider.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Access Request information about personal information we hold about you.
Delete Ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Correct Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
Withdraw Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can also control device permissions for camera and photo access through iOS settings, delete local archive items inside the app where available, reset local Wopi progress where available, avoid sending support emails with personal information, and use Apple's tools for App Store purchases and refunds.

To exercise rights, email wopicyl@163.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising legally protected privacy rights.

10. Region-Specific Privacy Rights

California, United States

California residents may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, sources, purposes, categories of third parties, and disclosures; request deletion; request correction; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; use an authorized agent where permitted; and be free from discrimination for exercising CCPA rights. Wopi does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If a hosted Wopi web service is later added and receives a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, we will treat it according to applicable California requirements.

Canada

For Canadian users, Wopi is designed around accountability, identified purposes, meaningful consent, limiting collection, limiting use, disclosure and retention, accuracy, safeguards, openness, individual access, and challenging compliance. You may request access to personal information we hold, ask for correction, withdraw consent subject to legal limits, and challenge our privacy practices through the contact email above.

Singapore

For Singapore users, Wopi supports notice, consent, withdrawal of consent, purpose limitation, accuracy, protection, retention limitation, transfer limitation, access, correction, and data breach notification obligations where applicable. The contact email above serves as the public business contact for data protection questions and complaints.

Australia

For Australian users, Wopi is designed to support the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply, including open and transparent management, anonymity or pseudonymity where practical, collection notices, use and disclosure limits, overseas disclosure protections, security, access, and correction. You may contact us first with privacy complaints. If unresolved, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the local-first design of Wopi. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, Apple ID, backups, passwords, network connection, and device permissions.

If we become aware of a data breach affecting personal information for which we are responsible, we will assess and provide notifications as required by applicable law, including relevant California, Canadian, Singapore, and Australian requirements where they apply.

12. Children

Wopi is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact wopicyl@163.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete or address the information as required by applicable law.

13. Automated Decisions and Tracking

Wopi does not use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects by default. The app may use local calculations, such as image color analysis, brightness, saturation, aspect ratio, archive attributes, simulation state, or visual quality adjustments, solely to operate and present the app experience.

This static Privacy Policy page does not intentionally set advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts. If you access this page online, standard hosting logs may still be created by the hosting provider.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect app changes, legal requirements, platform rules, security practices, or operating needs. The effective date above shows when this version became effective. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice where required.
